In May, I had the pleasure of participating in a giveaway organized by Cristin More Photography. We gave away sessions to deserving single mothers throughout the Bay Area. While not everyone won, we did give the option for the moms that didn’t win to book sessions with us. Gina was one of those moms. I was so so thrilled that she chose to do this. I know that professional photography is a luxury and not an essential part of life, but I do think it is very important in terms of having a tangible link to the past, not to mention the correlation between children’s self esteem and seeing photographs of themselves displayed.

I think I’m going off on a tangent…ANYWAY. When I showed up to her home, I just about died when I saw her daughter’s face. I mean, those cheeks, amiright?! I’ve seen some pretty darn cute kiddos but this one is just beyond. We hung out in the backyard exploring rocks, rosebushes, playing with bubbles, and just enjoying the weather. Sometimes the simplest sessions turn out to be the best! We had a great time together and I hope they cherish these photographs for a very very long time. <3
