Every now and again, I add a new lens to my arsenal. I mainly shoot with prime lenses, which are fixed at one focal length (read: no zoom!). I was photographing a recital for Luna Dance Studio in Palo Alto, so I decided it was time to add a zoom to my growing collection. I’m such a sucker for wide angle so the 24mm end of the zoom spectrum just makes my heart sing!

These were the first few photos I took with the lens, on a late Friday afternoon and I’m really digging them. The lens also did a great job at the recital and I can’t wait to test it out on some in-home lifestyle sessions!
