A friend of mine is always posting adorably decorated donuts from this sweet (see what I did there) little shop in the Irvington district of Fremont. It’s not in an area we frequent too often but one morning a few weeks ago we made it a point to stop by and try some of the pretty little round confections.

We had a heckuva time trying to decide! The donuts were all so pretty and well decorated that we wanted to try all of them, but we finally landed on two. I picked the red velvet cake donut because I can never resist red velvet anything, and the kiddo chose the rainbow donut. Overall, they were not the best donuts we’ve ever eaten but they were still pretty tasty and definitely a great choice for a special occasion when you want something pretty to look at before you shove the whole thing in your mouth.
