I don’t usually photograph weddings. Big weddings just kind of give me anxiety. It’s a lot of pressure! I do love photographing small, intimate weddings like this one I did at the Oakland Municipal Rose Garden in May. I met with Amy and Ryan a couple of months before the wedding and just loved how laid back and go with the flow they were. Definitely my people.

The wedding itself was in the rose garden, tucked away on the path with about 12 guests total, all family. The goal was to document what happened in an honest and open way, and I think I did just that. It was a lovely, short ceremony and it was so nice seeing Ryan and Amy surrounded by such love on a day they celebrated their love for each other. <3
