It’s official, y’all. Summer is here! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am! It’s my favorite time of year because there is just so much potential for adventure, excitement, and doing absolutely nothing (and not feeling bad about it). To kick our summer off we spent an afternoon in the backyard with the sprinkler on blast.

Sometimes when we get stuck in the cycle of “busy” its easy to forget about all the tiny things that can make us happy. Like running through a sprinkler on a hot day, or marveling at the mist it throws into the air and watching the droplets float through space. The feel of wet grass and the warmth of the sun on your back. I don’t know why but I feel like it’s easier to notice and appreciate these things in summer. Like, time slows down for a bit? Or maybe it’s just that I’m more conscious of it in the warm weather?

Either way it’s nice to be present in these moments, and make the most of the time we have. Hope you are able to do the same!
