When we were chatting about what this session would look like, my client mentioned they had a goal this past summer to hit as many ice cream shops as possible. It seemed fitting to have their session at a local ice cream shop in the Niles district of Fremont. Once we hit up the shop and got our cones, we hung out around the corner, finishing cones and running back and forth to get that sugar energy out.

My favorite moment was capturing little Lucy licking the ice cream off her cone and the following disappointment. Because we’ve all been there. I loved that her brother immediately offered her a bit of his ice cream while Dad came to the rescue with a fresh cone. I love the dynamic of this family, they’re all so warm, you can just really feel how comfortable and loving they are with each other.
