I met Shannon through a local Fremont moms Facebook group. Her son Ripley was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and needed surgery and she wanted to have some photos taken before and after the surgery to document such a huge event. We agreed that an in-home family lifestyle session sounded like the right setting and I was happy to be able to do this for them. I hung out and got to know everybody (I may be little Madison’s new BFF, we’re cool like that), and took pictures of this new family of four settling into their new life together.

I just photographed them again this past week so stay tuned to see how Ripley’s is doing post-op, and what the kiddos are going to be for Halloween!
