My daughter is now 5 and still isn’t very confident in the water. We decided that this was going to be the summer she would learn to swim and ride her bike without training wheels, and so to tackle the first of those two goals we enrolled her in swim class at Aqua Adventure water park.

These snaps were from her first swim class at the beginning of July (I know, I’m waaay behind), and she did classes all through the month, Monday through Thursday. I’m happy to report she’s gotten way more confident in the water, and can even swim short distances by herself. I can’t even tell you how huge this is! Before she started the classes she would literally have a death grip on whoever was holding her in the water and wouldn’t even attempt to jump into your arms from the edge of the pool. I’m so happy with how she’s flourished and she’s even mentioned she wants to keep taking swim lessons!

All in all it’s been a great experience for her (and for me because I get 25 minutes of uninterrupted reading time, woo!). I’d definitely do it again, plus after each session you get a free ticket to the waterpark so you can come back! Since she did two sessions we have two free tickets and will be going back so I can partake in some waterpark shenanigans! Win/win!
