After doing some shopping for new fall clothes for my daughter (because she has a growth spurt every couple of days, it seems like), I decided to take a few shots of her in her new duds. Even though we homeschool the start of the school year is always exciting and, in my mind, deserving of a fresh wardrobe.  I think back to school shopping is my favorite…the layering, the accessories, the colors. This hat is her new favorite thing and she was loving posing and playing around with it for these photos.

Doesn’t the black background make the colors just pop?! I’m kind of obsessed with it at the moment. It reminds me of an old chalkboard and it’s pretty perfect for simple back to school portraits. Speaking of which, I did a few for a friend of mine which I’ll be sharing next week. You’re going to love them!
